DESCRIPTION
Model: IAP M 30000 IR
Rainwater recovery plant made of polyethylene modular model by interro built in the rotational molding technique constant wall thickness reinforced by vertical ribs.
The plant includes: PVC inlet/outlet pipe, internal leaf filter with stainless steel grid and decanter pipe installed at the tank inlet and inspection cap.
Standard configuration of the product
Function and use
The system is suitable for the accumulation and recovery of rainwater coming exclusively from building roofs. The recovered water can be reused for watering plants, vegetable gardens, gardens etc… The recovery system type IR is mainly used for watering gardens and washing vehicles. It is however mandatory to keep the drinking water uses related to hygiene, body care and cooking fed by the public aqueduct. Every user used with recovery water must be indicated with a sign indicating “NON POTABLE WATER”.
It is equipped with the following devices: rainwater inlet, slurry and overflow outlet to connect to the sewer, leaf filter with internal self-cleaning stainless steel grating to prevent coarse bodies and leaves from ending up inside the tank and decanter tube that avoids turbulence of any laying formed. It is also equipped with a single-phase pressurization pump controlled by a control unit with pressure switch and pressure gauge to be installed in a special room.
Sizing
For the sizing of the useful volume of the recovery tank, there are some calculation systems that include some variable data depending on the needs. A “model system” for calculating the volume of the storage tank is described below.
Total volume in liters of water recoverable in one year:
- Q = P x S x 0.9
- P = average annual rainfall in mm (Municipality);
- S = sum of the collecting surfaces in m2;
- 0.9 = effectiveness of the leaf filter
Volume in liters of recoverable water:
- V = ab x 150 x 365 x R
- Ab = n. of the people living there;
- 150 = average water consumption per inhabitant/d;
- R = % of water that is intended to be recovered
Average daily consumption per inhabitant:
- 150 litres
Useful tank volume:
- Vs = M x 21/365
- M = average between Q and V;
- 21 = consecutive average days without precipitation; 365 = days/year
Accessories available and recommended
- Extension cord
- Telescopic Manhole Cover
- Anti-intrusion grid
- Restoration kit aqueduct
MAINTENANCE OF THE WATER RECOVERY SYSTEM
Installation
For installation follow the instructions in our manual “Laying and Handling”.
To start
Water recovery plants shall not need to start except for grey water recovery which, inter alia, having ultrafiltration equipment in the last section, is ready for use even after a few days of its feeding.
MAINTENANCE
For rainwater recovery plants, the following operations shall be carried out at least every six months:
- Check the effectiveness of the filter leaves and eventually clean it from leaves or branches stuck in the middle of the grid
- Check that the bottom of the storage tank has not formed an excessive layer of silt and eventually clean the tank with water jet cleaning and disinfection with sodium hypochlorite
- Check the operation of the level probes and instrumentation supplied with the control unit (pressure gauge, pressure switch, solenoid valves, etc…)
- Verify that the absorption of the pressurization pump is within the plate data of the equipment itself
- Check the pressure of the expansion vessel and, if necessary, return it to the pressure plate
CERTIFICATION OF WATER RECOVERY SYSTEM CONFORMITY
The water recovery system is used for the containment and storage of rainwater, first rain water, as indicated in the product data sheets (STC 01).
They are made of polyethylene, through the rotational “molding” system and comply with the requirements of the following Standards:
- UNI EN 11445:2012
- CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria)
- 2.2.8.2. Rainwater purification and reuse
- 2.2.8.3. Public green irrigation network
- 2.3.4. Water saving
- D.M. n.63 of 10 March 2020
- H public green areas management: irrigation systems
- Technical specifications point 2: water reuse
Warnings
Temperature of use of the liquids contained -20 C +60 C, we recommend not to exceed the 50 ºC.
Carefully check the compatibility of the EP with the main chemicals, indicated in the table of “compatibility chemicals”.
The dimensioning of the tank to be interrupted is calculated to bear a maximum load of covering with soil, equal to 40 cm (pedonability).
Always ensure that you have connected the vent before loading and emptying the tank. Clean the container of any processing residues present or formed.
IMPORTANT:
- perform the positioning of the tank on a flat surface and carefully follow the instructions of the handling and installation booklet attached to the supply.
- Do not place the tank outside USE ONLY UNDERGROUND.
