5000 LITERS POLYETHYLENE TANK PANETTONE

Model: CLY 5000 P 220

Polyethylene tank, coloured in mass, protected by the action of ultraviolet rays for the storage of not particularly aggressive liquids, built in the rotational moulding technique with constant wall thickness, of the tank type.

The tank is equipped with 400 female bayonet cap with a watertight seal and breather so the tanks are never subjected to pressure that deviates significantly from the hydrostatic pressure and operate at atmospheric pressure. They are included in endowment nr. 3 non-toxic brass inserts, costampati, with female thread diameter 1″ for possible filling and/ or emptying of the tank.

Function and use

Container used outside to contain drinking water, meteoric and other non-food liquids compatible with polyethylene.  The tank can be used for the storage of: rainwater, rainwater, accumulations for fire fighting, domestic waste water, landfill leachate, drinking water, etc.

The positioning of outdoor containers shall be done on a flat, uniform, horizontal surface (maximum gradient 4 ) and of a width equal to or greater than the base of the container.

The external operating temperature range is -20 to +60 ºC. However, we recommend not to exceed 50 ºC. The tanks can be drilled at the flat parts for inserting pipes or fittings.

 

Sizing

The dimensioning of the external tanks was carried out considering the containment of liquids with ρ = 1000 kg/m3. For higher densities we suggest not to fill the tank completely but the dimensional stability is not assured. The average wall thickness is made in relation to the volume and shape of the tank.

Installation

For installation follow the instructions in our manual “Laying and Handling”.

Use and maintenance

The tanks are usually supplied without having undergone any internal and external treatment (washing etc…). It is therefore necessary to provide at least an internal washing with water and detergents or soaps specific to the type of use where necessary. Finally, rinse thoroughly with drinking water.

For storage tanks, the following operations shall be carried out at least annually:

• Check that the bottom of the storage tank has not formed an excessive layer of silt and eventually clear the tank with water jet cleaning and disinfection with sodium hypochlorite.
• Check the effectiveness of any loading and/or unloading nozzles inserted on the flat parts of the same.
• Check for deformation on the tank surface.

 

CERTIFICATION OF CONFORMITY OF EXTERNAL TANK

Outdoor tanks are used for the containment and storage of rainwater, first rain water, domestic waste water, drinking water, landfill leachate and all liquids compatible with polyethylene etc… as indicated in the product data sheets (STC 01).

They are made of polyethylene, through the rotational “molding” system and comply with the requirements of the following Standards:

Warnings

External operating temperature -20 C +60 C, we recommend not to exceed 50 ¿C.

Carefully check the compatibility of the EP with the main chemicals, indicated in the table of “compatibility chemicals” and contact the technical office if necessary.

The dimensioning of the interrupting tank is calculated for the containment of liquids with p=100 kg/m3 , do not exceed this value.

The load inspection cap is of the type bayonet watertight not watertight, with vent: make sure the correct operation of the same during the loading and emptying of the tank.

Clean the container of any processing residues present or formed.

IMPORTANT:

• perform the positioning of the tank on a smooth and clean flat surface (max slope 4%) and distance it about 10 cm from walls and obstacles.
• Do not bury the tank, USE ONLY OUTSIDE.
